SV Lohhof Christmas Party

It is a Christmas tradition in Germany, or at least in the Bavarian part of Germany, that each year St. Nicholas reminds the children by reading from a list of notes, of their good and bad behavior throughout the year. At the party for Joe’s team, St. Nicholas was played by one of the coaches, Jens, and he told each player how they how done on the pitch. Joe was the last player to be brought up to the front and have his message delivered. In German, St. Nicholas talked about how when Joe arrived, the whole team had to learn to speak English. He also mentioned about the time when Joe had to train outside in the snow for the first time that he didn’t like it and told the coaches “we don’t play in snow in Dallas!” St. Nicholas also mentioned how the only two German words that Joe seems to be able to say are “nein” another word that is not a very nice word in Germany. It was a fun night and everyone got a great laugh.
