FC Barcelona!

Friday was the day that many of the boys were looking forward to, including Sam. Sam is well know as a skilled soccer player but almost all of the boys, whether they actually play or not, couldn’t wait to visit the Stadium of FC Barcelona, the 2nd largest soccer stadium in the world. We even got to go near the pitch, though not on it. Sam and his friend Sebi had decided that they wanted to EAT some grass from the pitch so that they could have the DNA of the field and perhaps some of the World’s greatest players inside them. So the asked the tour guide and she gladly pulled a blade of grass from the pitch for Sam and Sebi to eat! The tour ended in the FC Barcelona mega store where Sam had been dreaming of shopping for his FC Barcelona kit. He picked one out for him and also for Joe and we had numbers and the names Haines ironed on the back! Sam left a happy boy! After lunch we headed back to the metro and to the airport for our trip back to Munich.
Barcelona is an amazing city, and so far, probably my favorite. I think each new city we visit becomes my favorite, but Barcelona is far and away the most unique! I plan to go again, without 19 teenagers and on my own terms. And when my feet and legs hurt, I will stop and go again when I’m ready! Ole!
